AICE Media Studies

 On Thursday, the 30th of September, me and my group started filming our commercial, based around the product of AirPods Pro. Unfortunately, one of our group members, Ariel Pickholtz was not present, as she was feeling sick. Regardless, we decided to film anyways, because we would not have much time, and if for any reason we had any problems we could get it out of the gutter now, rather, in the future. For our commercial, I was an extra in the video, but also the one who planned out all the scenes, with a few additions from my group members. The idea of the AirPods Pro came from our group member Ariel, but the actual scenes, were my own thinking. It started off with me watching a couple of  Apple commercials, to get some background on how they were made. With this knowledge in mind, an idea of my own commercial brewed in my head. I chose the angles that would be used, the time limit for each scene, the order of the scenes. The first idea was an over the shoulder shot, that would focus

  Slide 1: In this slide we are going to shoot our introduction where we show the actor opening his phone and going to play a song on his AirPods Pro. He is going to pull out his phone, unlock it, and then proceed to go to a music app to begin to play a song. The type of shot in this slide is going to be a POV shot. This is to express to the viewer the same thing the actor is seeing. Slide 2: During this slide, the main actor is beginning to walk straight forward showing off the AirPods Pro in his ears. This is to show how the AirPods are comfortable to wear and stay in your ears. The type of shot that is going to be during this scene is going to be a medium shot to show off the actor walking. During this shot the audio will match the audio that the main actor is listening to with his airpods.  Slide 3: This slide is to represent the noise cancellation feature of the AirPods Pro. So, we will have someone call the main actors name to try and get their attention but they will not be able

  Planning: Props: Since our group decided to use the Airpods Pro the props that we will be using will be an iPhone and the Airpods Pro themselves. Costumes: In our commercial, we have one main character, and 2 side subjects. Our actors will wear normal/trendy clothes, they would wear items that they would wear everyday to simulate like it was just a normal day for them. The main actor will have an iPhone in hand, and an AirPod in each ear so to show them off to the viewer.  Schedule:   On 9/22/21 our group researched conventions and the background of AirPods Pro commercials. We also decided on our location list, props, costumes, backup plan, and made sure we were sticking to our schedule. We tried to get the most that we could done to make sure that on the next day of working we had enough time to get the next step done.  On 9/24/21 our group will get together to create the storyboard for our 30 second commercial.   Research:  My group is doing our commercial on Airpod Pros. Typically in apple commercials there is one main character using the specific apple product. Music is used in almost every apple advertisement and comes from the apple music app (usually upbeat incidental music). There is no specific dress code, the actors wear trendy or just their normal style clothing. Apple commercials use most of the same types of cuts. Jump cuts along with upbeat music are used to create an exciting mood and get the audience pumped up. Apple commercials also use most of the same shots. Tracking shots are used and follow the main actor to show the action they can do with the product. For example: jumping, dancing. Close up shots are used either when the actor puts the airpods in his ears or takes them out.  This blog is to talk about my group members. I am working with 3 other member, 2 boys and one girl. Aaron Shaffer, Juan Baca, and Ariel Pickholtz. I am relatively close with Juan and have known Aaron for a while as well. Ariel is an acquaintance, who I met through this class. Ariel seems like a high-spirited, type of person and also likes technology. Ariel mentioned she wanted to join the STEM and Environmental club, which sparked my interest, as I was also looking forward to those clubs. This also played a part on me choosing if I should work with her, because I had no clue on her work ethic. I still don't know much about her, but look forward to learning more about her. She has a nice charisma and I can see my self becoming good friends with her. Moving on, another member in my group is Aaron Shaffer. Hi, my name is Monzur Mohosin. I am a 16 year old Junior, at Fort Lauderdale High School. I am currently in the Cambridge program, working towards a AICE scholarship. I took this class to further my progress towards the AICE diploma. I have 2 brothers, who are both younger then me, and both my parents are in my life, which I will always be grateful for. I am an outgoing person, and friendly with everyone, unless I have a reason not to be. My hobbies include collecting hot-wheel cars, and playing video games. I built my own setup and it's something I'm proud of. Along with collecting cars, I have a big interest in cars and I love learning more about them. My favorite subject is History, and my least favorite subject is Marine Science. I look forward to this class, as I have heard many good things about it. I love movies and now learning the specifics behind these films, is something that interests me. Aside from my interests, I aspire to get a job in the technological field. I w
