Filming Blog

On Thursday, the 30th of September, me and my group started filming our commercial, based around the product of AirPods Pro. Unfortunately, one of our group members, Ariel Pickholtz was not present, as she was feeling sick. Regardless, we decided to film anyways, because we would not have much time, and if for any reason we had any problems we could get it out of the gutter now, rather, in the future. For our commercial, I was an extra in the video, but also the one who planned out all the scenes, with a few additions from my group members. The idea of the AirPods Pro came from our group member Ariel, but the actual scenes, were my own thinking. It started off with me watching a couple of  Apple commercials, to get some background on how they were made. With this knowledge in mind, an idea of my own commercial brewed in my head. I chose the angles that would be used, the time limit for each scene, the order of the scenes. The first idea was an over the shoulder shot, that would focus on what was going on, in the phone. There would be a high angle, and a couple of pan shots. Unfortunately, we were not able to finish filming today, as we had a couple setbacks and mishaps while filming, eg. members messing up their part, missing member. For our commercial, the only "props" that were required, were the AirPods Pro supplied by Aaron, and an iPhone, one to be used in video, and the other to record the video. Although, we did get some of the scenes completed, I feel as if we could redo them, with more allotted time, and perfect it, for example, one scene had some dialogue, from a third-party. There is still much to be done, and we have the time to do it. For now, I will begin to put some of the clips together, and work on editing it for the final.
