How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? Convention= A way in which something is usually done The AirPods are definitely a gamechanger. Until AirPods came out, headphone wires were not a problem that people believed a problem for humans, yet Apple predominantly monopolized the headphone industry with the "wireless" AirPods. For the older generation most grew up with wired headphones and for a long time wireless headphones seemed impractical or didn't function as most wanted. The introduction of AirPods accompanied with how user-friendly they were showed how fundamental they could have been, an industry that would quickly replace an already competitive market. Our product spotlighted a feature of the AirPod pros that seperates it from all the other wireless headphones and earbuds that were produced in response to Apple's AirPods. The noise-cancelling factor along with the transparent feature makes it very di

My Commercial

This was my first **big** project in this class, and I REALLY enjoyed it. I have never made anything like this in my life and I was able to have alot of fun with it. I was always told this class wasn’t the hardest and a fun class for the most part, and I can agree. There are things we definitely could have improved on, but I believe within the given time span we did a great job. This was a great start for a great year of awesome things to come to fruition. I have heard about a music video and it sounds like a lot of fun. I have ideas planned already, that I can do for my next project. I look forward to my next submission, one of many!  https://youtu.be/AoTVtypWyCM

Adding The Final Touches

This is it, the end of editing. I now had all the clips and scenes from our commercial, now it was just up to  me to perfect the commercial! Firstly, no one could decide on the music used in the video so i ended up using Let Me Love You by Justin Bieber. This was a chill song, with a nice beat to it, and allowed for the noise cancellation on and off effect we wanted. I recorded the original song, and added some modifications to it which made it seem as if the song was playing from another room. This give off the effect that the song was lower, and added to our idea of noise cancellation being off. Once Aaron turned noise cancellation on, I edited the music back to original state, syncing it with the tap of his finger in the video. This looked smooth in the end product as well. One problem I came across was, time. Time, was probably my worst enemy, and it caused some issues while fitting all the clips in. Some clips were sped up a little more then anticipated and some slowed down, as t

Editing Blog

I am the main editor of our commercial. After the first day of filming, I had one of our members Aaron send me all the clips, as he had them all on his phone. I emailed the clips to my email so I could download them to my PC. The reason I volunteered to edit is because I used to edit videos for people, for YouTube. They would send me videos and I would add certain FX and music of their choice. Then I would show them the product, and they would give me their two cents. I knew this would come in handy, and today it did. Originally, I didn't want to do anything, "extra", but I realized that iMovie was not capable of making an important edit that we needed for our commercial; rewind. iMovie was incapable of rewinding and this posed as a big problem, as the rewind of one of the scenes is what made our commercial stick out. Ariel decided that we could put the video through Snapchat, and at first it didn't seem a bad idea. We shortly realized the videos were too long, and h

Adding the Final Touches

On Monday, October 4th. we conducted our second day of filming our commercial of our AirPod Pros. Fortunately, today our fourth group member, Ariel Pickholtz was able to join us and give us a hand with filming. After reviewing some of the scenes we had previously filmed, I decided that there would not be much to film today, and we could choose to reshoot a certain scene. Then we collectively, decided to reshoot the scene, as we did have time. First, Aaron noted that it would look strange if his outfit was different in the commercial, so we re-shot the scene of him taking a stroll down the senior patio. For context, our clothes were different as the other filming day was the other week. Another problem that came up was incorporating Ariel into the commercial, as she was originally supposed to be an extra, and without anything to do, she would have nothing to report in her blog. I decided to let her shoot, as originally planned, and we reshot two scenes, with Juan Baca (OG camera-man) a
