Film with Me!
On Sunday, December 5th, we began filming our movie blog. All group members were present and we had decided between the group-mates that we would meet at Keith Roger's house. I was first to arrive and I went inside to greet his parents and play with his dog. Shortly after, both other members arrived and we got straight to work. Keith's dad had brought us drinks from inside, which was a nice courtesy. We sort of appointed my self as the director, as I chose the song and had the primary idea for what we wanted to do and how we wanted to film certain scenes. Keith had most of the props already, and costume was the clothes that we were currently wearing. Before we started filming we automatically decided that we would not finish the whole music video in one day. We decided that we would finish the rest of the movie at Juan's house as he had a nice complex with a huge field in the background. We began rehearsing some of the scenes, and some of the opening clips were pretty simple and easy. For one of the clips, we had to bring out Keith's father to shoot a opening scene for us. Next, we decided we recorded enough in front of Keith's home and decided we would go to the park. We brought out Keith's bike and decided to start walking to this park which was also part of a VPK near Keith's house. The park was chained up but we just took the chain off and got in, and I immediately realized it was perfect for the scenes we needed. Before filming anymore, I decided to play them the song 3-4 times before we proceeded, so anyone could put in there two cents, and give ideas on improvisations we could include. After listening for a couple of times, we started doing some of the scenes. In the swing scene in particular we had a hard time syncing together the exact time we would hop off the swing and also start lip-syncing the song. We filmed multiple and the majority of our scenes here. Keith had to go to church so we started wrapping up our final scenes and decided that I would go home and edit the clips I had to see how much more time we would have to fill in. The whole process took about 2 hours and was otherwise fun as we were able to joke around but also get work done.
