Edit with Me

Before we even started the project we decided that I would be editing, as I had prior experience to editing and would be the most up to the task. The day we first filmed, after we came home I hopped on call with my team members and I live-streamed to a discord call as I started editing the video. My friends were telling me certain things that would look cool and edits just to make the whole music video better as a whole. One problem we had was the clips that were taken on Keith's phone. Keith has a Samsung phone and we all have iPhones. When Keith tried sending us the clips the quality of the videos came out horrible and very pixelated. The way we combated this problem was uploading the videos to the cloud. We took all the videos and uploaded them to an app called MEGA, which was a file storage app, and that way I was able to take the clips from there and download them to my own. The first couple edits were pretty easy, and all I had to do was sync the music together. Some of the clips had to be slowed and sped up to somewhat sync with what our members were lip-syncing. Remember, this is just a edit of day one's clips and to have a good view on how far we are in the shoot. This will help us for a future reference and so we don't over-film. I got to about 30 seconds and still had plenty of clips remaining, so I let them know that we would not have to film too much more on Tuesday. One problem I had while editing was that in one particular scene, where Fahim reacted a little too late. This problem made it hard to sync the song with Fahim's reaction combined with Juan in the scene. Nevertheless, I fixed it by slowing him down and carried on. Lastly, I had to add a stock image in just so I could listen to what lyrics were coming next, so I could have those clips ready in advance. We got to about 48 seconds and I stopped there as it was very good progress, for the time spent filming, and we would not have to work much more. We would finish up filming on Tuesday, and begin the blogging process.
